We were asked to transform a rough, open space into something functional and impressive — a place where our client could safely walk and showcase their show horses for sale. The vision was to match the style of the new, old-barn-inspired building while keeping the design upscale and profession
Horse Walkway Project – Stone Blue Hardscape
We were asked to transform a rough, open space into something functional and impressive — a place where our client could safely walk and showcase their show horses for sale. The vision was to match the style of the new, old-barn-inspired building while keeping the design upscale and professional.
To bring this to life, we built a custom horse walkway that wraps around the building. The surface was made from rubber pavers, chosen specifically for horses. Rubber pavers provide a softer, shock-absorbing surface compared to concrete or asphalt, reducing stress on the horses’ joints and hooves. They also offer excellent traction, even when wet, which helps prevent slips and injuries. Plus, they’re long-lasting and low-maintenance, making them ideal for high-use areas like horse paths and show spaces.
We finished the walkway with a 6-inch concrete border for strength and structure, keeping everything in place while adding a clean, defined edge. Our team also handled the grading around the office to ensure proper drainage and a level finish. Finally, we completed the project with landscaping and new grass, tying everything together to create a polished, professional space that’s as functional as it is beautiful.
